Nuovo mese, nuovo viaggio. Lo sapete che ho la sindrome da wanderlust. Questa volta sono tornato in un altro dei miei luoghi del cuore, la Cina.

Come vi avevo anticipato nel post precedente (se volete leggerlo, cliccate qui!) sono in viaggio per tutta la settimana in un Paese che mi ha dato moltissimo, non solo nel lavoro ma più che altro nei rapporti con le persone. Ora mi trovo a Shanghai e sto per ripartire alla volta di Pechino.

A Shanghai ero già stato durante il mio soggiorno cinese dello scorso anno, e vi avevo trascorso attimi di puro divertimento. E’ una città semplicemente meravigliosa e dalle mille anime diverse. Ora che sono tornato, respiro di nuovo quell’aria, caldissima, inebriante di energia, che mi fa sentire vitale. Il periodo migliore per visitare Shanghai è proprio questo. Ho deciso di alloggiare al mio hotel preferito URBN Hotel via TheLuxeNomad. In primavera le temperature si aggirano tra i 18° e i 22° centigradi, quindi è possibile girovagare per la città più popolosa del mondo, lasciandosi trasportare dalla corrente delle persone che ci abitano e/o che, come me, hanno la fortuna di visitarla. Il tutto senza soffocare troppo per l’umidità. Riuscendo a godere di ogni scorcio che la città offre. Come il Tempio Jing’an che vedete in queste foto. Un luogo perfetto per godersi un momento di pace nel vortice della città.

Nel decidere il look del mio primo giorno a Shanghai, ho optato per capi che mi facessero sentire allo stesso tempo comodo per girare la città ed elegante quanto basta per presentarmi ai miei appuntamenti di lavoro. Un look comfy chic composto da un paio di scarpe da vela, un paio di pantaloni leggeri di cotone e una giacca di jeans, fedelmente Levi’s, personalizzata con patch applicate sulla schiena. A presto con un nuovo look da Pechino!

New month, new journey. You know I’m addicted to wanderlust. This time I came back to another place that holds my heart. China.

As I told you in my previous post (if you want to read it, click here!) this week I’m traveling in and around China, a country I literally felt in love with. I am currently in Shanghai but I’am about to leave for Beijing.

Last year I spent few days in Shanghai and it was so much fun. It’s a wonderful city with thousand different souls. Now that I’m back here, I feel so vital. The best time to visit Shanghai is now. I decided to stay at Urbn Hotel via TheLuxeNomad, this is my favorite hotel in the hip neighborhood of Shanghai. In spring, temperatures average between 62 and 75 Fahrenheit degrees, so you can wander around the most populous city in the world, going with the flow of the people who live and who are – like me – lucky enough to visit it. Breathing (thanks to the decreased humidity). Enjoying every view that the city offers. Like the Jing’an Temple you see in the pictures below. This temple is the perfect place to enjoy a moment of calm in the chaos of the city.

For the look of my first day in Shanghai, I opted for some pieces of clothing that made me feel at the same time comfortable but elegant enough to attend my business meetings. So I wore this comfy chic look, which consists in a pair of boat shoes, light cotton pants and a Levi’s denim jacket customized by me, with patches applied on the back. Come mi vesto per un viaggio di lavoro

Chi tra di voi mi segue anche sui social sa che ho la fortuna di avere un lavoro che mi permette di conciliare molte delle mie passioni, tra le quali viaggiare. La mia casa oggi si trova a Milano, ma un giorno torno nella mia Napoli (potete leggere qui il diario della mia vacanza a Napoli per festeggiare il mio compleanno) e il giorno dopo sono dove mi portano i miei progetti e impegni. Come mi vesto per un viaggio di lavoro? Sicuramente prediligo capi e accessori che prima di tutto rispecchino il mio stile personale, ma siano anche pratici ed adattabili alle mie esigenze, che sono in continuo mutamento. Perché il mio è un lavoro, come quello di tanti altri uomini moderni, del tutto imprevedibile.

Per questo motivo quando qualche settimana fa Furla mi ha chiesto di diventare uno dei quattro testimonial mondiali del progetto The Modern Man non potevo essere più entusiasta.

Ora possiedo la mia prima ventiquattr’ore, la Furla Modular Bag. Leggera, elegante e discreta, ma che si fa notare dall’occhio attento di chi apprezza qualità artigianale e cura del dettaglio. Una vera e proprio borsa multi-tasking. Al mattino, che sono sempre di corsa, la prendo in mano, ci metto il mio laptop e vado al mio appuntamento di lavoro. All’ora di pranzo magari devo prendere un volo, allora monto i due laterali che servono per espanderla, così diventa sufficientemente capiente da metterci anche un cambio per il giorno dopo. Poi arrivo in hotel, è l’ora dell’happy-hour, allora elimino tutto, compresi i manici staccabili, e me la porto in giro a braccio. Una comodità irrinunciabile nelle mie giornate frenetiche, in cui non ho il tempo di pensare ma solo di agire!

You may know from following me on my social media that I’m lucky enough to have a job that allows me to travel a lot, one of my greatest passion. My house is in Milan, but I try to come back to my native town Naples as much as I can (here you can read the diary of the last time I’ve been there, for my birthday) and I have to travel very often for projects and works. I need to be comfortable, I need to have in my wardrobe clothes and accessories that first of all reflect my personal style, but are also practical and adjustable. Indeed my job is totally unpredictable, as much as others modern mens’ job.

Because of this reason, I couldn’t be happier when Furla asked me to become one of the four international ambassadors of The Modern Man Project.

Now I own my very first briefcase, the Furla Modular Bag. Lightweight, stylish, perfect for who appreciates quality craftsmanship and attention to the details. A really multi-tasking bag. In the morning I am usually in a rush, so I’ll take it in my hands, I put my laptop in and I go to my business meeting. Once I arrive at my destination, maybe it’s happy-hour time, so I remove everything, including the detachable handles and the bag becomes suitable even for this occasion. A must-have for those like me who doesn’t have time to think but only to act!
