In perfetto contrasto, le note di base esprimono l’eleganza di una giacca nera dal fit perfetto: balsamo d’abete, accordo di ambra grigia e incenso. Io ho avuto l’opportunità di scoprire il nuovo profumo Y di YSL per la prima volta lo scorso settembre. Durante una experience davvero speciale che mi ha portato a Brooklyn, cuore pulsante del talento e dell’estro newyorkese. Un quartiere che da zona prettamente industriale è diventato con il passare dei decenni un melting pot di culture di diverse, negozi vintage, gallerie d’arte, teatri e tipiche case dai mattoncini rossi.

Un viaggio ispirazionale, di forte stimolo per realizzare le immagini della campagna che vedete qui sotto. Cosa ne pensate?

The new Eau de Toilette Y by Yves Saint Laurent is inspired by his signature look. Head notes, consisting in bergamot, ginger, white aldehydes and geranium absolute, symbolize the freshness of a white t-shirt. In clear contrast, base notes express the elegance of a perfectly fitted black jacket: balsam fir, marine ambergris and incense. A creative and bold combination, unique in its kind. A combination that challenges each of us to identify our own dreams while at the same time urging us to fight with all our strength to achieve them. Because it all starts with a question, why?

It’s the question that makes everything possible.

I had the opportunity to discover the new Y fragrance by YSL for the first time last September. During a really special experience that took me to Brooklyn, the pulsating heart of New York. A neighborhood that starting from a purely industrial area has become in a few decades a melting pot of cultures, of different vintage shops, art galleries, theaters and typical red brick houses.

An inspirational journey, that gave me a strong incentive to realize the images of the campaign you see below. What do you think about it?

Quest’anno ho festeggiato un capodanno cinese particolare con YSL all’evento #YSLOrientalExperience, insieme ai miei amici milanesi e ai miei fans cinesi venuti per l’occasione. Tra selfie, risate e tazze di thè.

Vi ho già raccontato che nel corso del pomeriggio ho chiacchierato con Elle Italia a proposito dei trend provenienti dalla Cina e del mio irrinunciabile rituale di bellezza (potete leggere la mia intervista qui). Oggi invece vi racconto perché sono stato scelto per rappresentare il profumo YSL La Nuit de l’Homme.

Per un mese intero, nel corner YSL della Rinascente di Milano sono stati organizzati una serie di eventi sensoriali ispirati al mondo della beauty orientale. Io sono stato ospite, insieme a due blogger di origini asiatiche e al national make-up artist di YSL Beauty Italia, di un pomeriggio dedicato alla scoperta dei trend in tema di fragranze, make-up e skin care, ispirati dal paese delle lanterne volanti. Un pomeriggio trascorso, per non farsi mancare nulla, sorseggiando il BB Detox di Kusmi Tea.

Sono stato scelto dalla maison YSL per far conoscere la fragranza che più mi colpisce, ovvero La Nuit de l’Homme. Un profumo fresco e con una forte connotazione orientale, dovuta alle note di cardamomo e cumino. Un profumo per una notte misteriosa, seducente e piena di promesse. Niente di più adatto per l’occasione.

Insieme a me, nelle foto, le mie amiche Yu Yu e Yu Lee, sulle quali il super MUA Valter Gazzano ha ricreato due look pazzeschi ispirati ai trend asiatici del momento. Per farlo ha utilizzato una palette di ombretti studiata per far risaltare ogni forma di occhio, la Chinese New Year Couture palette (disponibile in edizione limitata in tutti i corner La Rinascente).

Grazie a tutti per aver festeggiato con me il capodanno cinese! Incredibile che mi abbiate persino chiesto di autografare le confezioni dei rossetti… A domani con un post sulla mia festa di compleanno!

This year I spent the Chinese New Year’s Eve with my italian and chinese friends at YSL beauty corner of La Rinascente, Milano. Selfies, lot of laughts and cups of tea all night.

I had the chance to host the YSL Oriental Experience together with my two beautiful asian friends and bloggers, Yu Yu and Yu Lee. While they were having their make-up done by the Italian MUA for YSL, Valter Gazzano, I found myself talking about my favorite YSL fragrance.

La Nuite de l’Homme is such a fresh scent, with strong Oriental features, due to notes of cardamom and cumin. A fragrance for a mysterious, seductive and full of promises night. Nothing could have been more suitable for the occasion.

Thank you all for having spent this year Chinese NYE with me! It’s unbelievable that I was even asked for an autograph on a lipstick packaging… See you tomorrow for my birthday party diary!
