Oggi vi mostro il look indossato durante il mio quarto giorno di New York Fashion Week, che è stata un’altra giornata indimenticabile: dopo aver assistito al fashion show di DVF, mi sono concesso una pausa pranzo al Chelsea Market a base di tanto buon sushi e tante chiacchiere con i miei amici Laura, Clara e Gianluca.

Non vedevo l’ora di creare un outfit basato su questa camicia multicolor, un pezzo vintage che ho scovato in un negozietto a Brooklyn e che ho scelto di indossare completamente abbottonata fino al collo e con le maniche arrotolate. Sotto sono riuscito ad abbinarla facilmente con un semplice pantalone chino blu e, come scarpe, un modello di Lotto Sport verde bottiglia, con lacci e suola verde acido a contrasto. Per completare il look ho aggiunto degli indispensabili occhiali da sole ultra leggeri, con una montatura dorata molto fine e lenti grigio chiaro a specchio.

Today I want to show you the outfit I’ve chosen to wear for my New York Fashion Week Day 4, which was another beautiful day: after having attended DVF fashion show, I had a lunch break at the Chelsea Market, eating very good sushi while chatting with my friends Laura, Clara and Gianluca.

I was dying to put on this multicolor shirt, a vintage piece that I found in a boutique in Brooklyn and I decided to wear completely buttoned up and with the sleeves rolled up. I easily styled it up with a simple blue chino pants and, as for shoes, a pair of Lotto Sport sneakers in bottle green colour, with acid green laces and sole. To complete the look I added an essential accessory: a pair of ultra-light sunglasses, with a very fine gold frame and and gray mirrored lenses.

L'articolo New York Fashion Week Day 4 sembra essere il primo su DECISIONS ARE DECISIONS.

Dopo aver indossato due look decisamente casual per le mie prime giornate di fashion week newyorkese, uno total black e uno double denim (che potete vedere cliccando qui: New York Fashion Week Day 1 e Day 2), per il terzo giorno ho virato decisamente sul bon ton, su quell’eleganza sartoriale tipicamente italiana che mi fa sentire a mio agio in ogni occasione. La terza giornata di fashion week, infatti, è stata una giornata ancora più intensa delle altre: Laura ed io avevamo l’agenda fitta di appuntamenti e di sfilate, BCBG e Tibi tra le altre.

Ho scelto uno splendido completo smoking blu navy di Bencivenga Couture, con le revers della giacca nere a contrasto, che mi veste perfettamente. Sotto, la classica camicia bianca mentre, ai piedi, ho deciso di smorzare l’eleganza del look con le mie nuovissime Nike Zoom. Come accessorio ho indossato occhiali da sole con montatura tartarugata e lenti fumè azzurre, che riprendono perfettamente i colori del foulard vintage che ho deciso di legare intorno al collo, e che nel corso della giornata si è rivelato persino utile per proteggermi dal vento che si era alzato sulla città.

Infine, il pezzo forte del mio look: uno zaino di pelle morbidissima MCM , blue , ma con il dettaglio della tasca metallizzata sul davanti, che mi ha fatto impazzire dal primo momento in cui l’ho visto!

After having put together two casual looks for my first days of New York Fashion Week, a total black one and a double denim (which you can see by clicking here: New York Fashion Week Day 1 and Day 2), for the third day I opted for a more elegant outfit, that makes me feel confident on every occasion. The third day of fashion week, in fact, was a day even more intense than the others: Laura and I had our agenda full of events and fashion shows, BCBG and Tibi among others.

I chose a midnight blue tuxedo by Bencivenga Couture, with black lapels, that fits me beautifully. Below, I wore the classic white shirt while, for shoes, I decided to soften the look with my brand new Nike Zoom. As for accessories I wore a pair of sunglasses sunglasses with tortoiseshell frames and blue lenses, that matched perfectly the colors of the vintage scarf that I decided to tie around my neck, which after that day turned out to be useful to protect me from the wind that started blowing.

Finally, a new staple of my wardrobe: the softest beautiful backpack I’ever purchased! It’s from MCM(which i Love it ), and it has the detail of the metallic pocket on the front that I absolutely loved from the first second I’ve seen it!

L'articolo New York Fashion Week Day 3 sembra essere il primo su DECISIONS ARE DECISIONS.

Il 2015 celebra il revival della moda Anni Settanta, quello stile unico fatto di volumi, libertà, colori e trasgressione. Per me non c’è maison che simboleggia di più questo stile di Missoni. Un brand a conduzione familiare, con una storia bellissima alle sue spalle, che si impone sullo scenario internazionale proprio all’inizio degli Anni Settanta con la sua maglieria rivoluzionaria, fatta di fili di cotone e lana multi color Made in Italy. Le fantasie a greche, quadretti, rombi e zig-zag sono finite nelle vetrine di tutto il mondo e ancora oggi sono considerate simbolo di lusso italiano.

Oggi per celebrare questo brand, ho scelto di indossare una camicia vintage di seta, con l’iconica stampa a zig-zag, in tutte le declinazioni di colore dal blu al verde. Questa stampa ha un valore sentimentale per me, mi ricorda i papà della mia generazione, cresciuti proprio negli Anni Settanta, che indossavano i maglioni super colorati Missoni. Tornando al mio look, la camicia è perfetta per la stagione perchè è ampia e a manica corta. L’ho abbinata ai miei jeans Levi’s bianchi preferiti (cliccate qui per vedere un altro outfit in cui li indosso!) e un paio di Superga color tortora effetto used.

2015 celebrates the revival of seventies fashion, that unique style with volumes, freedom, colors and transgression. For me there is no fashion house that symbolizes more this style but Missoni. A family brand, with a great story behind it, which imposed its influence on the international scene at the very beginning of the seventies with the revolutionary knitwear, made of cotton and wool thread, all Made in Italy. The zig-zags multicolor fantasies ended up in the greatest shops of the entire world and now it’s still considered a symbol of Italian luxury.

Today I want to celebrate this brand, wearing a vintage shirt in silk material, with the iconic zig-zag print on it, in all shades of color from blue to green. This print has a sentimental value for me, it reminds me of the dads of my generation, who grew up in the seventies and wore the super colorful Missoni sweaters. About my look, the shirt is perfect for the season because it is wide and short sleeves. I also threw on my favorite white jeans Levi’s (click here to see another outfit of me wearing them) and a pair of old sneakers by Superga, in colour taupe.
