Pitti Immagine Uomo è giunto al 90esimo appuntamento ed io non potevo mancare. Come ogni giugno, la fiera dedicata alla moda uomo più cool d’Italia è in scena alla Fortezza da Basso per presentare tutte le novità e lanciare i nuovi trend della moda maschile per la Primavera Estate 2017…

Il primo giorno di Pitti 90 è stato super intenso. Stand to stand per scoprire le collezioni dei miei brand preferiti e poi, alla sera, in giro per cocktail party con i miei amici. Parlando del mio look, ho scelto un completo sartoriale in lino composto da giacca khaki e pantalone bianco, su camicia a righe, cravatta e scarpe in pelle intrecciata sui toni del blu. Sulle spalle in anteprima il nuovo zainetto Furla.

Vi do’ appuntamento a prestissimo con il secondo ed ultimo outfit indossato al Pitti 90!

Pitti Immagine Uomo celebrates its first 90 events and I wouldn’t ever miss it. As every June, the coolest fair of Italy dedicated to men fashion is on stage at the Fortezza da Basso to present all the innovations and launch new men’s fashion trend for Spring Summer 2017…

The first day of Pitti 90 was super intense. Booth to booth to discover the collections of my favorite brands and then, in the evening, hanging around cocktail parties with my friends. Speaking of my look, I chose a tailored linen suit consisting of khaki jacket and white pants on striped shirt, a tie and woven leather shoes. On the shoulders a preview of the new backpack by Furla.

Eccoci al primissimo appuntamento dell’anno con le sfilate della Milano Moda Uomo 2016. Sabato è stata la volta di Costume National al mattino, mentre al pomeriggio di Jil Sander. Per l’occasione ho scelto di indossare un look anni ’70 con protagonista una giacca vintage in pelle con frange. Per richiamare il mood anni ’70, sotto ho abbinato un blazer in lana color mattone, una camicia bianca e jeans blu elettrico di Versace. Come scarpe un paio di stivaletti in pelle nera modello Beatles. Adoro i capi come questa giacca con le frange: sono attualissimi, si vedono in tutte le vetrine, dalle grandi case di moda alle catene low cost, ma si trovano anche nei negozietti vintage. Taglio oversize, vera pelle e interno in seta: un capo super caldo, che ho portato sbottonato, complice anche la bellissima giornata di sole, e con le maniche leggermente risvoltate. Per renderlo ancora più country, potete indossarlo con un paio di blue jeans e una camicia, sempre in denim, oppure un maglione di lana in toni naturali.

Here we are at the very first event of the year with the fashion shows of Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2016. Saturday was the day of Costume National show in the morning, while the afternoon of Jil Sander‘s one. For the occasion I chose to wear a ’70s-inspired look featuring a vintage fringe leather jacket. To recall ’70s mood, I paired it with a red brick wool blazer, a white shirt and electric blue pants by Versace. For the shoes I wore black leather boots model Beatles. I love clothes like this fringe jacket: they are very trendy, can be found everywhere from high streets boutiques to low-cost stores, but also in vintage shops. The oversized cut, the thick leather with silk interior: it’s a super hot jacket I wore unbuttoned, also because of the beautiful sunny day, and with slightly turned-up sleeves. To make it even more country-style, you can wear it with a pair of blue jeans and a shirt, in denim as well, or with a wool sweater in natural tones.

L'articolo Giacca con le frange alla Milano Moda Uomo day 1 sembra essere il primo su DECISIONS ARE DECISIONS.

Un classico dell’armadio del gentlemen, nel 2016 il cappotto cammello va ancora alla stra grande. Se non ne possedete ancora uno, ponderate un acquisto. Tanto più ora che siamo in periodo di saldi. Vi ritroverete con un capo passepartout con cui potrete giocare davvero tantissimo. Nella scelta del modello, vi consiglio di optare per tagli classici, monopetto o doppiopetto, dal volume morbido e non esageratamente slim. Così potrete indossarlo veramente su tutto quello che avete nell’armadio. Per quanto riguarda gli abbinamenti, il cappotto cammello si presta infatti ad essere indossato sia su look eleganti, completi o spezzati, sia nella vita di tutti i giorni con jeans, camicia e maglioncino con scollo a V oppure a collo alto.

Per il mio secondo giorno al Pitti ho abbinato il mio nuovo cappotto cammello di Paolo Pecora sopra un completo spezzato. Composto da un dolcevita nero indossato sopra una camicia bianca con il colletto rialzato (la mia nuova ossessione: scoprite tutto nel post di ieri… Se ve lo siete perso, vi basta cliccare QUI!). Poi giacca in tweed, pantalone nero e sneakers Adidas in pelle metalizzata color oro con la punta bianca, che trovo perfetta per richiamare il colore cammello del cappotto.

Alcune delle foto sono state scattate nei pressi dell’altalena del MINI Gentleman’s Playground (un parco giochi dal design elegante e raffinato realizzato dalla nota casa automobilistica all’interno della fiera) dove ho trascorso qualche attimo di relax al termine della giornata. Ieri il Pitti era veramente affollato e gli appuntamenti che non volevo perdermi erano moltissimi!

Spero che i miei consigli su come scegliere e come abbinare un cappotto cammello vi siano utili… Vi aspetto domani con un nuovo post dal Pitti!

A classic of the gentlemen’s wardrobe, in 2016 the camel coat is still a huge trend in fashion. If you do not own one yet, consider the idea of buying one now. At the sales. You will end up with an evergreen piece you can really play a lot with. When choosing the model, I suggest you to opt for a classic cut, single or double-breasted, in soft volumes and not overly slim. So that it can really be worn with pretty much all you have in your closet. As for pairings, the camel coat lends itself to be worn both with elegant looks, blazer with jackets, and in everyday’s life with jeans, a shirt and a V-neck or a turtleneck sweater.

For my Pitti day 2 I matched my new camel coat by Paolo Pecora on a blazer and slacks. Consisting of a black turtleneck worn over a white shirt with the collar turned up (my new obsession: find out everything in my yesterday’s post… If you missed it, you just click HERE!). Then a tweed jacket, black pants and Adidas sneakers in metallic gold leather with white tip, which I find perfect to bring up the color of the camel coat.

Some of the photos were taken near the swing inside  MINI Gentleman’s Playground (an elegant and refined playground outside MINI stands) where I spent a few relaxing moments at the end of the day. Yesterday Pitti was really crowded and I had a lot to do!

L'articolo Pitti Day 2 & Come abbinare un cappotto cammello sembra essere il primo su DECISIONS ARE DECISIONS.

Un’occasione unica ed imperdibile si è presentata alla mia porta: mollare Milano, il freddo di Dicembre e il mio cappotto, per partire alla volta dei Caraibi! La scorsa settimana sono volato ad Aruba per un progetto molto speciale e sono rimasto incantato da questa piccola, coloratissima isola. Il clima caldo e secco tutto l’anno (si mantiene costante sui 28°C!), le sue spiagge bianche bagnate da acque cristalline, la sua vegetazione e la sua fauna mi hanno fatto innamorare di lei a prima vista.

La foto di oggi sono state scattate nell’affascinante capitale di questa isola caraibica, Oranjestad. Dopo una lunga passeggiata tra le colorate abitazioni, i vari locali, boutiques e musei che la città offre, mi sono trattenuto al Museo Nazionale per visitarlo e scattare un look che trovavo fosse perfetto per un pomeriggio nei Caraibi. Protagonista del mio outfit un paio di eccentrici mocassini di pelle color caramello di Christian Louboutin. Sì, proprio lui. Il suo nome non significa soltanto suola rossa delle décolleté da donna: anche se non tutti lo sanno, in alcune delle sue collezioni sono presenti anche scarpe da uomo! Tornando al mio look, indossavo una camicia a quadri su misura della sartoria Vanacore Napoli, un paio di pantaloni chino color sabbia di Zara e occhiali da sole con lenti a specchio di Ray-Ban.

A presto con nuovi post sulla mia esperienza ad Aruba!

A unique and unmissable opportunity knocked on my door: say temporally good-bye to Milan, to the cold December days and to my coat, and leave for the Caribbean! Last week I flew to Aruba for a very special project and was absolutely delighted by this small, colorful island. The hot and dry climate all year long (it remains constant around 28°C!), its white sandy beaches and clear waters, its vegetation and its wildlife made me fall in love with her at first sight.

Today’s photos were taken in the fascinating capital of this Caribbean island, Oranjestad. After a long walk among the colorful houses, the clubs, boutiques and museums that the city offers, I have stayed at the National Museum to visit it and shot this outfit I found to be perfect for an afternoon in the Caribbean. The star of my look is an eccentric leather moccasins in caramel color by Christian Louboutin. Yes, him. His name is not just  about the red sole on women’s stilettos: though not everyone knows that, in some of his collections there are also men’s shoes! Speaking about my look, I was wearing a tailor shirt by Vanacore Napoli, a pair of sand-colored chinos by Zara and a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses with mirrored lenses.
