Eccomi rientrato per il primo grande appuntamento di questo nuovo anno. Il primo dei molti treni che prenderò nel 2017 mi ha portato in direzione Fortezza da Basso, a Firenze. Al via la fiera Pitti Uomo 91: tanti i brand e i nuovi trend da scoprire in anticipo sul prossimo autunno-inverno 2017… Ecco il racconto del mio primo giorno!

In mattinata ho trascorso qualche piacevole ora nello spazio Tommy Hilfiger, dove tra le altre cose ho conosciuto lo stilista in persona e il modello del momento, Lucky Blue Smith. E’ la prima volta in assoluto che il brand sceglie la prestigiosa cornice del Pitti per presentare in anteprima le sue collezioni menswear e sono stato onorato di aver potuto prendere parte a questo evento!

Nel pomeriggio mi sono poi recato da Tod’s per l’aperitivo e per scattare un progetto speciale… Prestissimo ne vedrete le foto!

Veniamo ora al mio look. Per il mio primo giorno di Pitti ne ho scelto uno decisamente più casual rispetto a quelli che indosso solitamente in occasioni di questo genere. Tanto denim: jeans scuro ultra risvoltato sotto giacca ricamata e in una tonalità più chiara. Sopra ho aggiunto un cappotto grigio dal taglio classico ed elegante. La mia nuova cintura statement di Gucci e un paio di stivaletti Beatles in vernice hanno completato l’outfit.

Ringrazio con tutto il cuore Pitti Uomo 91 per avermi ospitato nella magnifica Firenze: è sempre un piacere per me ritornare!

Here I am, back for the first major event of this new year. The first of many trains that I’m going to take in 2017 led me towards Fortezza da Basso, in Florence. For Pitti Uomo 91: many brands and new trends to discover in advance for the next autumn-winter 2017… Here is the story of my first day there!

In the morning I spent a few pleasant hours in the Tommy Hilfiger space, where among other things I met the designer himself and the model of the moment, Lucky Blue Smith. It’s the very first time that the brand chooses the prestigious setting of Pitti to present the preview of its menswear collections and I was honored to have been able to take part in this event!

In the afternoon I then went to Tod’s for a drink and to shoot a special project… Very soon you will see the pictures!

Now let’s talk about my look. On my first day of Pitti I chose a much more casual outfit than what I usually wore on this kind of occasions. Lots of denim: a dark pair of jeans that I over folded on the bottom under an embroidered jacket in a lighter shade. Above I added a gray coat with a classic and elegant cut. My new statement Gucci belt and a pair of patent leather boots completed the outfit.

L'articolo Pitti Uomo 91: Il racconto del primo giorno sembra essere il primo su DECISIONS ARE DECISIONS.

Sabato a Milano è iniziata la Settimana della Moda dedicata alle collezioni Uomo per la prossima primavera estate 2017. Per l’occasione ho scelto una bellissima camicia di lino con stampa a nuvole sui toni caldi del marrone, del sabbia e del panna che ho abbinato a un paio di pantaloni, sempre in lino, panna. Il lino infatti è il tessuto che prediligo in questa stagione, un tessuto che trovo sempre elegante. Tanto da non rendere necessario indossare una giacca, sicuramente anche a causa dell’ondata di afa arrivata quel giorno in città. Come scarpe ho optato per un paio di mocassini in pelle naturale con l’iconica medusa di Versace, acquistati da poco su Zalando (mancavano nella mia collezione di scarpe un paio di questa tonalità e finalmente li ho trovati)! Su Instagram vi sono piaciuti tantissimo e vi ringrazio di cuore per i vostri commenti! Last Saturday in Milan officially started Milan Men’s Fashion Week. For the first day of shows dedicated to next spring summer collections I put up an outfit made by a beautiful linen shirt with printed clouds in the warm shades of brown, sand and cream that I paired with a pair of pants, always in linen, in color cream. Linen is the fabric that I prefer this season, a fabric that I always find elegant and classy. It doesn’t make it necessary to wear a jacket, certainly also because of the wave of sultry weather arrived that day in the city. For shoes I opted for a pair of moccasins made of natural leather with the iconic Versace medusa, purchased recently on Zalando (I needed in my collection of shoes a pair of this shade and finally I found them)! All’inizio della settimana ho avuto l’opportunità di viaggiare con Tods. Due giorni nelle Marche, precisamente nella zona di Ancona, per visitare la fabbrica dove tutti i loro prodotti nascono e prendono forma. Non potevo essere più felice! Sono da sempre un grande fan del brand, ma trovo che da qualche anno a questa parte le loro collezioni siano ancora più belle, accattivanti e attuali, mantenendo comunque quel connotato di artigianalità tipico della storia di Tods.

Vi lascio alle foto dei momenti più belli della mia Tods experience e dei due look che ho scelto di indossare. Uno decisamente casual: giacca in stile militare, camicia, denim risvoltato e, come accessori mi sono divertito a giocare con slip-ons nere e due meravigliosi zaini in pelle martellata. Per il mio secondo outfit, invece, ho cambiato decisamente stile: volevo qualcosa di elegante e raffinato, in stile con il marchio e con le scarpe che volevo indossare, le Tods Gommino. Morbide e confortevoli come babbucce, ma dallo stile inconfondibilmente italiano che si riconosce anche ad occhi chiusi. Sono in pelle nera liscia e ho scelto di abbinarle a un look sui toni del blu notte, composto da cappotto sartoriale, maglione a collo alto e pantaloni eleganti.

E’ stata un’incredibile opportunità poter visitare la fabbrica Tods nelle Marche… Ringrazio tutti per la bellissima esperienza. Grazie anche ai miei compagni di viaggio Joao Freire, Dennis Mitchell e Henri di Manofakind.

Earlier in the week I had the opportunity to travel with Tods. Two days in the Marche region, precisely in the area near Ancona, to visit the factory where all their products are born and take shape. I could not be happier! I have always been a huge fan of the brand, but I find that for some years now their collections have been even more beautiful and trendier while maintaining the connotation of craftsmanship typical of the history of Tods.

I leave you with photos of the best moments of my Tods experience and of the two outfits that I wore. First being very casual: military-style jacket, shirt, denim jeans and, as accessories, I decided to play with black slip-ons and two wonderful backpacks in textured leather. For my second outfit, however, my style definitely changed: I wanted something stylish and refined to wear with my brand new Tods Gommino. Soft and comfortable as slippers, but at the same time impeccable as only Italian style is. Mine are in black smooth leather and I chose to match them with a look in dark blue tones, consisting of a tailored coat, a tall and elegant trousers neck sweater.

It’s been an incredible opportunity to visit the Tods factory… I thank everyone for my wonderful Tods experience. Thanks also to my fellow travelers Joao Freire, Dennis Mitchell and Henri di Manofakind.

Un cappotto in tessuto Principe di Galles invecchia? Assolutamente no. Basta saperlo abbinare con i pezzi giusti. Il mio è di Hugo Boss e l’ho preso su Zalando. Per uno stile più rilassato, ho arrotolato casualmente le abbondanti maniche. Sotto ho abbinato un maglione a collo alto nero sopra una camicia con colletto a vista (ho lanciato un nuovo trend… QUI vi spiego come ricrearlo!). Ho sdrammatizzato il tutto con un paio di jeans neri con strappo al ginocchio di Top Man, stretti in vita da una cintura di pelle intrecciata. Ho poi impreziosito il look con le mie nuove Gommino black di Tod’s. Scarpe che adoro per la loro eleganza, ma soprattutto anche per la loro comodità.

Questo outfit l’ho indossato il terzo giorno di Milano Moda Uomo 2016, in occasione della bellissima sfilata di Salvatore Ferragamo e della presentazione di Tod’s a Villa Necchi. Nonostante il sole faceva un gran freddo, per cui avevo bisogno di un capospalla elegante ma super caldo: per questo ho scelto il mio nuovo cappotto in tessuto Principe di Galles.

Does a Prince of Wales checked coat make me look older? Absolutely not. You gotta match with the right pieces. Mine is by Hugo Boss and I found it on Zalando. For a more relaxed style, I rolled randomly my sleeves. I paired it with a black turtleneck sweater over a button-up shirt in the same color, with the tips of the collar peeking from the turtlenecks( I launched a new trend… HERE I explain how to recreate it!). I played down the whole thing with a pair of ripped black jeans by Top Man, cinched at the waist by a belt of woven leather. I then embellished the look with my new black Gommino by Tod’s. I love this shoe because of its elegance, but especially also for its comfort.

This is the outfit I wore on the third day of Milan Men’s Fashion Week 2016, for the beautiful Salvatore Ferragamo’s fashion show and Tod’s presentation at Villa Necchi. Although the sun it was very cold outside, so I needed a outerwear that looked elegant but also super hot, so I’ve chosen my new Prince of Wales checked coat.
