Come vi avevo accennato nel mio ultimo post, la scorsa settimana sono stato ospitato e coccolato a bordo della nave MSC per una crociera nel Mare Adriatico. Come prima tappa, la MSC Opera è attraccata in Montenegro, nella meravigliosa baia di Kotor! Una splendida località patrimonio UNESCO che si trova nel punto più interno dell’unico fiordo dell’Europa meridionale. Uno splendido punto di partenza per una camminata nella città vecchia, in cui mi sono perso nel labirinto di stretti vicoli ciottolati, tra chiese, bar che offrono piatti enormi di deliziosa frutta fresca e negozietti tipici. Sono poi salito sino in cima alle mura della città, dove sono rimasto ammaliato dalla vista unica che abbraccia tutta la baia.

Ho scelto per l’occasione un look da turista composto da una camicia in tartan e un paio di jeans risvoltati. Come giacca, per ripararmi dalle forti folate di vento, indossavo un parka verde di Tommy Hilfiger, pratico e confortevole. Ho aggiunto un tocco di stile con le mie nuove scarpe eleganti Timberland (che mi avete già visto indossare in un altro outfit QUI) che ho scoperto essere anche ultra comode per camminare.

As I told you in my last post, last week I was hosted and pampered on board the ship MSC for a cruise in the Adriatic Sea. First MSC Opera cruise ship dock in Montenegro, in the beautiful Bay of Kotor! A wonderful UNESCO heritage destination that is in the innermost of the only one fjord of southern Europe. A wonderful starting point for a walk in the old city, where I got lost in the maze of narrow cobbled streets, churches, bars offering huge plates of delicious fresh fruit and typical shops. Then I climbed up on top of the city wall, where I was charmed by the unique view that embraces the whole bay.

I chose for the occasion a tourist look consisting of a tartan shirt and a simple pair of blue jeans. For the jacket, for shelter from the strong gusts of wind, I was wearing a green parka by Tommy Hilfiger, practical and comfortable. I added a touch of style with my new elegant shoes by Timberland (which you’ve already seen me wearing in an outfit HERE) which I also found to be ultra comfy during the long walk.

Scusate l’assenza degli ultimi giorni, ma, come saprete se mi seguite sui miei social, ho avuto molte difficoltà logistiche nel trasloco. Vi scrivo in diretta da Venezia, dove sto finendo di preparare la valigia: prossima destinazione Croazia e Montenegro a bordo della MSC Blogger Cruise. Non vedo l’ora!

Il look che vi mostro oggi ha come protagonista il primo cappotto indossato in questa stagione. La scorsa settimana a Milano le temperature erano calate di botto, io dovevo assolutamente uscire perché volevo andare ad alcuni press day, quindi sono corso ai ripari scegliendo un cappotto classico da uomo in una versione di gran tendenza per l’autunno inverno 2015 2016: oversize, a cui ho arrotolato le maniche, di un colore grigio molto neutro e facilmente abbinabile con tanti pezzi del mio guardaroba. Assolutamente perfetto! Sotto, una semplice t-shirt bianca di Levi’s con logo (che mi avete già visto indossare in un altro outfit QUI) e un paio di skinny jeans con strappo al ginocchio che non riesco a smettere di indossare. Come scarpe, un paio di nuovissimi stivaletti eleganti di Timberland in pelle e camoscio, totalmente impermeabili e quindi adattissimi anche quando le temperature caleranno a picco, e pioggia e neve faranno capolino!

Sorry for being M.I.A. in the last few days, but, as you may know if you follow me on my social media, I had many logistical difficulties with the moving. I’m writing to you from Venice, where I’m working on the suitcase for my next destination: Croatia and Montenegro aboard the MSC Blogger Cruise. I can’t wait!

The look that I show today stars the first coat of the season. Last week in Milan had suddenly fallen, I absolutely had to get out because I wanted to go to some press days, so I put a classic men coat on, in a version of big trend for fall winter 2015 2016: oversized, with rolled up sleeves, in a very neutral gray color that can be easily matched with many other pieces of my wardrobe. Absolutely perfect! Under the coat I wore a simple white t-shirt with Levi’s logo (which you’ve already seen me wearing in another outfit HERE) and a pair of knee cut skinny jeans I’m obsessed with. For shoes, a pair of brand new stylish Timberland boots in leather and suede, totally waterproof and very suitable even when temperatures drop, and rain and snow pop out!

Come vestirsi con la pioggia? Questo uno dei tanti dilemmi che mi hanno attanagliato durante la Settimana della Moda milanese. In particolare la mattina dell’ultimo giorno, in cui per la prima volta ho sentito l’esigenza di ripararmi dalla pungente aria autunnale e dall’umidità.

Per un look impeccabile anche quando le temperature sono incerte, la soluzione ideale è indossare un classico trench o, come ho fatto io, una giacca sagomata in tessuto tecnico impermeabile. Un capo casual chic abbinabile tanto su un completo elegante, per andare in ufficio o un appuntamento di lavoro, quanto su abiti più informali, per un brunch o un aperitivo con gli amici. Inoltre, non essendo prettamente da pioggia, a differenza dei sicuramente meno eleganti k-way, può essere tenuto addosso anche dopo che è passato il temporale senza il rischio di apparire fuori luogo.

Nelle foto mi vedete indossare un look giocato sui toni scuri del nero e del grigio antracite, non senza un dettaglio di colore nei polsini della giacca risvoltati che mostrano il tessuto viola della fodera interna. Al di sotto, una basica maglia nera, un pantalone elegante grigio antracite e un paio di New Balance dello stesso colore. Ecco un perfetto outfit da pioggia per affrontare le piovose giornate autunnali a prova di goccia.

How to dress for rainy day? This is one of the many dilemmas that I had to solve during past Milan Fashion Week day 6. Specially in the morning of the last day, when for the first time I felt the need to shelter from the cold autumn air.

For a flawless look even when temperatures are uncertain, the ideal solution is to wear a classic trench or, as I did, a waterproof jacket. It has a casual chic vibe, so you can match it both with elegant suits, for heading to the office or to a business meeting, and with more informal clothes, for a brunch or a drink with friends. A jacket like mine can be worn even after the storm without the risk of appearing out of place.

In the photos you see me wearing a look played on the dark tones of black and charcoal gray, with a pop of color in the cuffs of the jacket that I rolled up showing the purple fabric liner. Underneath my jacket I threw on a basic black sweater, an elegant charcoal gray pair of trousers and New Balance sneakers of the same color.
