Double denim per il mio secondo giorno di sfilate della settimana della moda newyorkese, in cui ho assistito agli show di Custo e di Giulietta.

Una tendenza che resiste all’estate e che nella prossima stagione si rafforzerà ancora di più, diventando un imperativo per tutti i fashion addict. Ma bisogna fare attenzione a mixare i capi giusti nel modo più cool, per evitare quell’effetto eccessivo e pacchiano alla Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake durante gli American Music Awards del 2001 (vi ricordate la celebre – ai tempi – coppia, vestita letteralmente dalla testa ai piedi di capi in jeans?!).

Ecco come ho scelto di interpretare io il trend denim on denim. Indossando una camicia vintage impreziosita da patches e dal taglio oversize, che ho infilato parzialmente in un cinque tasche dal taglio dritto, in modo da evidenziare un minimo la figura. Ho scelto di sovrapporre il denim chiaro sul denim scuro per dare un po’ di contrasto, mentre per le scarpe ho optato per gli stessi stivaletti beatles neri che ho indossato durante il primo giorno (se vi siete persi il relativo post e vi va di dare uno sguardo al look che ho indossato, cliccate qui: New York Fashion Week Day 1).

Come accessori, io e la mia partner in crime Laura abbiamo scelto di indossare occhiali da sole modello aviator con montature e lenti specchiate color argento, altro trend a cui proprio sia io che lei non abbiamo saputo resistere!

Double denim is emerging as autumn’s hottest trend, so I decided to try it out during my New York Fashion Week Day 2. The stylish way to wear it is to mixmatch different style and different colours of denim. So I wore a lovely oversized vintage shirt, embellished with cactus and flowers patches, that I tuck partially in a five-pocket pair of jeans, with the purpose of enhancing my waist and my figure. I chose to layer light denim on dark one to give some contrast, and for the shoes I opted for the same black beatles boots I wore during the first day (if you missed the post and you’d like to take a look on my outfit, please click here: New York Fashion Week Day 1).

For the accessories, me and my partner in crime Laura chose to wear a pair of aviator sunglasses with silver frame and mirrored lenses, another trend that both me and her couldn’t resist!

• Fall in Istanbul

Last weekend I left Milano for another Project in Istanbul , where during fall season  there is totally another atmosphere. Istanbul is a place where I lost myself few times ; The city is difintely one my favorite  . I spent all the weekend with a crazy crew but unfortunately I will post just few photos because we were so busy for meetings and parties. Every-time I like to remember the city with some quotes  from the Hamam movie of Ferzan Ozpetek ( unfortunately for you all in italian)

Thank you Istanbul, you stole my heart again.

Istànbul è quello che cercavo. Sono arrivata da una settimana e già mi ruba il fiato, il sonno. Quanto tempo sprecato prima di raggiungerla. Ho la sensazione che mi stesse aspettando, silenziosa, mentre correvo dietro a una vita tanto faticosa quanto inutile. Qui le cose scorrono più lente e morbide, questo vento leggero scioglie tutti i pensieri e fa vibrare il corpo.
Adesso finalmente sento di poter ricominciare.Qualche volta, al tramonto, mi prende la malinconia…Ma poi all’improvviso arriva questo vento fresco e se la porta lontano.
E’ un vento strano, che non ho sentito mai da nessun’altra parte.
E’ un vento leggero e mi vuole bene.

Caro Mehmet ieri abbiamo ricevuto la tua lettera tanto attesa. Sono felice di sapere che stai bene e se non è così se vuoi parlare io sono qui. Da quando sei partito il quartiere sta cambiando molto in fretta. Ho convinto Fusun a non sposarsi, con grande gioia di tua madre. La settimana scorsa è nato il bimbo di Yodin: hanno deciso di chiamarlo Francesco. Ovviamente Perran, Fusun e io abbiamo pianto un bel pò. Quasi tutti i pomeriggi scendo nell’hamam, ormai i lavori sono finiti. Qualche volta al tramonto mi prende la malinconia, ma poi arriva questo vento fresco e se la porta lontano. E’ un vento strano che non ho sentito mai da nessun’altra parte: è un vento leggero e mi vuole bene”.
