La scorsa settimana sono riuscito a ritagliarmi un weekend di relax in una delle città più affascinanti del mondo. Intensa, dalle mille anime diverse, Istanbul ti sorprende per i suoi colori, sapori, profumi… per la magia di ogni scorcio.

Avendo già visitato in passato la città e i suoi principali monumenti, ho volutamente deciso di lasciare a casa la guida turistica e di non fare programmi di viaggio. L’obiettivo era perdermi nei luoghi segreti che Istanbul offre. Lasciar scorrere il tempo lentamente. Assaporare ogni attimo. Ci sono pienamente riuscito e posso dire di amare questa città ancora più di prima.

Per quanto riguarda il mio look, ho scelto una camicia leggerissima di cotone con motivo di palme, in tutti i toni del verde. Un paio di freschi pantaloni bianchi e sneakers dello stesso colore. Ovviamente il mio paio preferito di occhiali da sole, accessorio indispensabile per ripararsi dal sole penetrante che bacia la città dal mattino fino al tramonto, colorando d’oro i profili dei minareti.

Last week I decided to take a break and leave for one of the most fascinating cities in the world. Intense, with a thousand different souls, Istanbul surprises you for its colors, flavors, scents … it’s magical.

Because I’ve visited the city and its major monuments before, I deliberately decided to leave home the tour guide and to not make any plan. My goal was to get lost in the hidden places that Istanbul offers. Let the time flow slowly. Enjoy every moment. That’s exactly what I did and now I love this city even more than before.

As for my look, I chose a very light cotton shirt with motif of palm trees, in all shades of green. A pair of white pants and some sneakers of the same color. Obviously I had to wear my favorite pair of sunglasses, necessary to protect my eyes from the penetrating sun that kisses the city from dawn until sunset, painting the city with gold.
